Florida – White Sand Getaway

I have escaped to Florida two times before to take a break from the harsh Canadian winter – it’s only a 3 hour plane ride away! I relaxed on both Fort DeSoto and Clearwater Beach which have pristine white sands. My parents will even go to Florida once a year – the most home-bodied people I know. Florida was a great start to my travel bug. Such warmer weather than Canada’s winter while still being fairly close. I can’t really remember the feeling of being on a flight as short as 3 hours in duration. My flights just keep getting progressively longer and I go further and further as each year passes.
